We want you to feel comfortable, informed, and confident before your session. Here are answers to some of the most common questions we receive — if you don’t see yours here, please don’t hesitate to reach out!

What should I expect during my first visit?

When you arrive, your therapist will review your intake form and discuss any areas of tension, pain, or goals for your session. Then they will leave the room to allow you to have a few moments of privacy to undress to your comfort level and get settled on the table before your massage begins. Every session is tailored to your needs, and your comfort is our top priority — you can always request more or less pressure at any time.


How often should I get a massage?

It depends on your body and your goals. For general wellness and stress relief, most clients find that a massage every 4-6 weeks helps maintain balance and prevent tension from building. For chronic pain or specific conditions, weekly or bi-weekly sessions may be more beneficial until symptoms improve.
 

Does it have to hurt to be beneficial?

Not at all! While some mild discomfort can happen when addressing tight muscles, massage should never be painful. In fact, relaxation allows muscles to release more effectively. Always let your therapist know if anything feels too intense — communication ensures you get the best results comfortably.
 

When should I not receive a massage?

Massage is generally safe for most people, but there are times when it’s best to wait or get clearance from your doctor — such as with fever, contagious illness, recent injury, open wounds, or certain medical conditions. If you’re unsure, give us a quick call before your appointment and we’ll be happy to help you decide.
 

Do you accept walk-ins?

All sessions are by appointment only, so we recommend booking ahead of time to ensure availability. Same-day appointments may occasionally be available — feel free to call or check our online booking system.
 

What forms of payment do you take?

We accept cash, debit, and all major credit cards.
 

Can I request a specific therapist?

Absolutely! We want you to feel comfortable and supported. You’re welcome to request your preferred therapist when scheduling — either online or by phone — and we’ll do our best to accommodate your choice.


Do you offer prenatal massage?

Yes! Our prenatal massages are designed specifically for the comfort and safety of expectant mothers. Please let us know how far along you are when booking so we can tailor your session accordingly.
 

What if I’m sensitive to scents or oils?

We completely understand. Please let us know during the booking process about any sensitivities, allergies, or preferences so that we may plan ahead for you! We have high efficiency air purifiers to remove any lingering aromatherapy from the room, as well as offer unscented lotions and hypoallergenic options upon request. Our goal is always to make your experience as relaxing and safe as possible.
 

What’s your cancellation policy?

We ask for at least 24 hours’ notice when canceling or rescheduling an appointment. Cancellations or changes made with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed appointments, are subject to a fee. You can read our full policy details here.
